Bullet Hell
Vesperwing
Weave the curtain. Break the widow.
About
A moth drawn to the last light finds the night full of teeth. Vesperwing is a vertical bullet-hell: waves of mites, weavers and lancers throw curtains of fire down a narrow arena, and you thread them with a hitbox the size of a heartbeat.
Hold FOCUS to slow to a crawl and graze bullets a hair's width away — each near-miss is points, and grazing feeds the chain: kills stack a multiplier up to ×4 on everything you score, and the dead pay their way down in power-ups. When the screen turns solid, spend a bomb to wipe it clean. Auto-fire keeps your hands free for the only thing that matters: not being where the bullets are.
Ten waves climb into the dark. The Duskherald bars the midpoint with scything cross-sweeps, and past it the Nightwidow herself descends — a fanged moth with three telegraphed patterns that only get crueller below half health. Break her, and the night is yours.
